Pierhouse Palace Private Island

Private Beach-Island – Have an adventurous jungle trek to other side of the island and visit a local village. The rocky trail is populated by thousands of sea snails and hermit crabs, carrying the unique shells they call home. The island village is well-stocked to provide the everyday needs of the villagers. Snacks or drinks available there. We have simple native nipa-huts situated behind rows of towering palms with hammocks strung here and there inviting you to relax. ….and just 30 feet out from the beach lays a coral reef, abundant with multi-colored fish, sea slugs and quirky marine life. Collect driftwood, pebbles, and shells or have moonlight sleep over managed for you. Drink fresh coconut juice.

Concepcion Bay is known for its Mangrove Rivers, reefs and peace. Cruise around these river back waters with one of our local paddle boats and discover another world. It is also possible to make it up to our local waterfalls in this fashion. Best time is in the morning when the bay is smooth and glass during the sunset…..for a feeling of romance with the one you love.

Hike up the hill and mesmerize yourself with the wonderful overview of Concepcion and the islands-beaches on the western horizon. Walk up at sunrise and see the reefs with crystal clarity as the sun highlights the layers of corals, see the sea change from green to deep blue. An overview of Busuangas neighboring beach-islands and offer the wealth of amazing coral reefs… Stroll through Concepcion village to the popular waterfalls and spot the variety of orchids and flowers that grow abundantly in the gardens along the road. The waterfall is a 15 minute walk from Pierhouse Palace. It is also reachable by the sea, paddling through the mangrove river along Concepcion bay. The falls are small tumbling with a pool deep enough to swim in and refresh yourself. The waterfall has its own fresh fish, feed them with bread if you like, and enjoy it. The best season for loads of water is from September to February due to the rainy season being reserved. The waterfall is very safe to swim in to.

Around the main land of Busuanga, the island consists of two municipalities. Municipal of Coron town and Salvacion. Busuanga is one big island surrounded by hundred small islands. The main land consist of many small Barangays which are possible to cruise around with a motorbike, see remote places and have a look at the simple life of the locals. Beside the roads are farms, rice fields, and fields of tropical fruits and vegetables such as okra, aubergine, papaya, cucumber, ampalaya, bananas, pineapple and more… Also (small) bridges, which run the fresh water rivers and all ending at the sea, shore…. …..in the village, there are always small sari-sari stores to buy drinks and snacks during the ride. Pierhouse Palace is 40 km. away from the Coron town and 17 km. from Salvacion. Cruising around Busuanga needs a full day trip to be able to enjoy the scenic view of the islands from the road. Make sure to stop by in any of the village during the time of all the local transportation passing by, such as busses and jeepneys doing their everyday route between 10am-2pm to avoid all the dust and smoke from their behind… Pierhouse Palace is a perfect stopover in Concepc ion village for a lunch break and cold beer.
